New Wheat Crop Quality Report

The SAGL is proud to announce the release of the Wheat Crop Quality Report for 2019/2020. This report provides the results of the twenty-second annual wheat crop quality survey performed by the SAGL.

The wheat crop report as well as quality data is available on The Southern African Grain Laboratory NPC (SAGL) website. Follow the links here in order to access the Report and/or Quality Results per region.

Data on wheat imported for domestic use is also available on the SAGL website.  Follow the link here in order to access the Import Results per country of origin.

Crop and imported wheat quality surveys are conducted with the financial support of the Winter Cereal Trust.

Quality overview of the 2020 maize crop

A total of 890 composite samples, representing white and yellow maize of each production region, were received and analysed to determine their quality. The samples consisted of 516 white and 374 yellow maize samples.
